Description: This juvenile pelican came to us thin but alert in late August 2025, with a slight issue in his right elbow that caused occasional clicking. Since then, he's been steadily gaining weight and getting stronger with supportive care, medications, and a carefully managed diet. He is feisty, silly, loud and loves to practice his flight across the pool in his enclosure.

Description: This adult female Snowy Owl came to us in late December very thin and a little hurt, with a healing wing fracture and a sore left foot. She was stressed at first, but with gentle care, lots of rest, and some tasty meals, she’s been steadily gaining strength.Her wing is healing well, she’s flying again, and her body condition is improving every day. We’re so proud of her progress and can’t wait to see her continue to thrive with time and care.

This adult female Snowy Owl came to us very thin and with a wing injury. She’s had a healing fracture in her left ulna and some scabbing on her wrist, but she’s been working hard in care and making great progress! With gentle handling, supportive meds, and plenty of rest, she’s started eating well, gaining weight, and flying confidently again. Her wing is healing steadily, and her wrist is improving each day. She’s a feisty, determined little owl, and we’re so proud of how far she’s come. With continued care, we can’t wait to see her fully strong and ready to return to the wild.
